Blog #2 Sex on the Beach, literally.

First off, there is the obvious bold name of this alcoholic beverage being promoted: Sex on the Beach, where as, this image suites the extremely lascivious portrayal well. The drink is a malt liquor, which is a carbonated, often fruity flavored brew great for summer. Pertaining to this, the ad takes place on what seems to be quite the expensive yacht, wearing nothing except for their bathing suits and the woman's high heels. In the far distance you can even see the white water of incoming waves and the shallow water showing that they are literally parked on the beach, which properly enacts the title "Sex on the Beach". In reality, the odds of a yacht being parked in the sand would be close to none. They feature individuals that are perfectly toned, oiled-up, and tan to accentuate the summer experience. The setting is unclear other than the beach, there are no monuments to look to, urging the consumer to imagine for themselves. The main targeted audience appears to be young men, although it could draw in women just the same. We assume this because the beautiful, young, half-naked woman is pouring the beverage onto the mans bare stomache, which they both seem to be enjoying. This personifies the displayed catch phrase: "Drinks on me!". It is a clever and successful technique to lure the viewer in subconsciously. The bottle itself has a picture of a man and woman's bare feet, comfortably coiled together as if sleeping together. The only detail you can really work out on the yacht is what seems to be a mini fridge. This insinuates that you can maintain your fun, relaxing adventure with your admirer while always having a cold bottle of Sex on the Beach nearby. This product is potentially promising memorable and exciting experiences with sexy and desirable men or woman. It would ultimately be worth while to drink this product because you too could have the opportunity to engage in such a mind-blowing experience. It is meant to intrigue while stimulating both your body and mind.
